GRA is one of early agencies undertaking the governments' spot check and audit tasks in China. It cooperates with the departments include State Administration for Market Regulation, provincial and municipal administrations for market regulation, Hygiene and Health Committee, Agriculture and Village Committee, Food Bureau, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau and Marine Development Bureau to provide the government customers with supervision, spot check and risk monitoring of production, catering, supermarkets and farmers' markets within the jurisdictions and help the government supervision in provinces and municipalities, such as Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Shanxi, Henan, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Beijing, Shandong, Hubei and Xinjiang.
